The Health Service in Denmark are using mit.dk

Since March 2022, mit.dk has been the common platform for digital mail and direct communication with patients in primary healthcare. This includes general practitioners, specialists, private dentists, physiotherapists, psychologists, private hospitals, chiropractors, and other healthcare providers close to citizens' daily lives. The collaboration between primary healthcare and mit.dk continues to make the digital dialogue between healthcare providers and patients easier.

Simpler contact between doctor and patient

In mit.dk, primary healthcare can send medical records, appointments, medical certificates, and other types of attestations and documents to all citizens in Denmark via a secure connection. And mit.dk makes communication easier and more manageable for both the patient and primary healthcare.

Security around sensitive personal information

Where it previously took time and manual work to exchange sensitive personal information, the doctor and patient can now communicate in a secure environment. At the same time, mit.dk functions as a digital archive, so patients can easily retrieve messages and documents when they need them.

Less manual work – more time for patients

With mit.dk, the entire primary healthcare sector can, for the first time, send digital mail to patients. This improves and streamlines workflows and administrative tasks in clinics. Employees can send documents, records, and certificates from the clinic's own systems to the patient via mit.dk. They can also easily handle appointments, confirmations, and reminders digitally. This results in fewer phone calls and manual workflows – and more time for patients.

Better user experiences for patients

Patients can handle more themselves. There are indeed more options for digital self-service in mit.dk. If a patient needs a certificate, for example, they can get it from the doctor via mit.dk and easily and securely share it with a relevant third party directly in mit.dk. More self-service options will become available as the collaboration between the healthcare sector and mit.dk develops.

Interaction between mit.dk and the Min Læge app

The collaboration between primary healthcare and mit.dk also includes the Min Læge app with over 1.5 million active users. Patients only need to log in once and can easily move between mit.dk and the app. This makes it easy to contact the doctor, book an appointment, or request medical records. The doctor can send messages or medical records to the patient via mit.dk and continue the subsequent dialogue or video consultation in the Min Læge app.

Collaboration creates a secure and efficient system

Doctors, dentists, and others can send documents to patients and communicate with them in mit.dk via a secure connection, thanks to a collaboration between PLSP A/S, which is a system provider for primary healthcare, and Netcompany, which is behind mit.dk.
