1. Processing of personal data in mit.dk

In this privacy policy you can read about our processing of your personal data in relation to your use of mit.dk, including your use of the digital post solution "mit.dk" and the related products and services as well as the mit.dk website and the mit.dk mobile and tablet application.

In mit.dk you can see all your Digital Post from Public Senders, i.e., public authorities etc., as well as post from Private Senders, i.e., the companies, organizations etc., with whom mit.dk has signed an agreement with, and which you receive Digital Post from. The possibility to see Digital Posts from Public Senders in mit.dk is available as a supplement to your messages sent to your public postbox or Digital Post at borger.dk or virk.dk.   • To pursue our legitimate interest, as described below, we process information about your notification settings, accept of Terms and Conditions, as well as consent to the processing of your national identification number based on GDPR article 6.1.f.

 

We process information about your accept of Terms and Conditions and consent to the processing of national identification number in order to document the user registration and your consent to the processing.

 

We process personal data regarding your notification settings in order to send you notification, e.g., in relation to new post.

Additional personal data:

  • Our processing of your national identification number is based on your consent, cf. the Danish Data Protection Act, Section 11.2.2, with the purpose of uniquely identifying you as a user and in order for you to receive post from private companies and organizations.
We may share your personal data with:

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned.

  • As a starting point, we will retain your personal data as long as a user profile has been created on mit.dk and until 12 months from deactivation of the user profile.
  • The retention period for personal data may in certain situations be shorter or longer, e.g., if the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim, or if necessary to comply with legal obligations of erasure or retention.

Specific for private users of mit.dk:

  • We will retain documentation of your consent to the processing of your national identification number for 5 years after your user profile on mit.dk has been terminated.
  • We will retain documentation of your terms acceptance for 6 years after your user profile on mit.dk has been terminated.

 

#2 – Updating contact information

We process your personal data to be able to update your contact information.

We do this by inter alia continuously reminding you to update your information.

We ask you to update your contact information to comply with our agreement with the Agency for Digitisation as a public display client.

#3 - Your continuous use of mit.dk

We process your personal data for the administration of your continuous use of mit.dk.

Administration of your continuous use includes the processing of personal data for purposes of security, including verification of your identity by the login on mit.dk, as well as the processing of personal data in relation to the maintenance of mit.dk.

In relation to your use of mit.dk the application requires access to your calendar in order to create new appointments received in mit.dk, and to local storage in order for you to locally archive post received in mit.dk.

Additionally, we anonymize your personal data for the purpose of creating statistics and analysis of the use of mit.dk.

  • Information that appears from our application log regarding potential breakdowns, where a snapshot is taken of mit.dk, including IP address, device ID device type, used operating system (iOS/android), performed actions, event ID and date and time.

  • Except for personal data listed below in relation to legitimate interest, we process your ordinary personal data for the purpose of fulfilling an agreement to which you are a party, cf. GDPR article 6.1.b.

 

  • To pursue our legitimate interest, as described below, we process information about your notification settings, preference settings and information in our logs, cf. GDPR article 6.1.f.

 

We process personal data about you for user administration on mit.dk, including in relation to your termination as a user at mit.dk.

 

We process information shown in logs for the purpose of ensuring the integrity, accessibility, and confidentiality of your personal data, including in relation to a breakdown of mit.dk, where our application log registers a snapshot of mit.dk.

 

We process your personal data to document your user registration, your continuous use of mit.dk and your request of termination of your user at mit.dk.

  • Information in the activity log is continuously deleted after 6 years.

 

  • Information in the system log is deleted after 9 months.

 

  • The retention period for personal data may in certain situations be shorter or longer, e.g., if the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim, or if necessary to comply with legal obligations of erasure or retention.

 

Specific for private users of mit.dk:

  • We will retain documentation of your consent to the processing of your national identification number for 5 years after your user profile on mit.dk has been terminated.

If you contact our customer support, we process your personal data to support you in relation to your use of mit.dk.

3. Recipients outside EU/EEA

Personal data is not transferred outside the EU/EEA.

4. Your rights

According to data protection regulation you have several rights in relation to our processing of your personal data. If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact us. You can find our contact information under section 1.

You have the following rights:

  • You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data
  • You also have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted.
  • If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Your withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before you withdrew your consent. You can withdraw your consent and make use of your rights as described below.
  • You have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).
  • You may always lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g., the Danish Data Protection Agency.

Furthermore, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data as follows:

  • If processing of your personal data is based on article 6.1.f., see above regarding legal basis, you have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of your personal data.
  • Where your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data about you for such mar-keting.

You can withdraw your consent by contacting us by e-mail: kundeservice@mit.dk. By withdrawing your consent to the processing of national identification number, the consequence will in practice be that your account will be deleted.

There may be conditions or limitations on these rights. It is therefore not certain for example that you have the right of data portability in the specific case. This depends on the specific circumstances of the processing activities.

This privacy policy is last updated the 3 April 2024.
The privacy policy will be updated continuously. The privacy policy in force at any time can be found on our website at www.mit.dk.
If substantial or material changes or amendments are made to the privacy policy, you will receive a notification about this.
