The partnership is based on a common ambition to challenge existing solutions in both digital mail and payments. The solution from Aiia is based on account-to-account payments, where the citizen pays securely via his online bank. With the collaboration, mit.dk is at the forefront of a development in the payments sector, where so-called ‘open banking payments’ are considered one of the most promising payment solutions of the future. With the new account-to-account payments, the user simply has to use his NemID, which makes it quick and straightforward for the user to pay bills from, for example, the dentist, the physiotherapist, the insurance company, the telecommunications company, the energy company and the union on mit.dk.
